Aastha Mehta

As Director of Donor Services and Special Projects, Aastha leads the department in vetting new projects, acquiring new opportunities for growth for NEO, and developing department strategy in serving as a liaison for donors and donor collaboratives at NEO. As an immigrant with a passion for social justice, Aastha is proud to work at a mission-driven organization like NEO. She brings with her more than 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including deep experience in program management, policy development, gender, and nonprofit operations, budgeting and financials. In particular, she has several years of experience in international grantmaking and programming. Prior to joining NEO, Aastha served in both programmatic and business development functions at EngenderHealth, an international NGO focusing on reproductive health and family planning for women and girls in more than two dozen countries. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University, and an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University. Outside of NEO, Aastha enjoys traveling, running, and is an avid baker.
