Hugo became a full-time member of the NEO team in 2024, serving as the Assistant Director of Strategic Initiatives. In this function, Hugo plays a key role in implementing and advancing NEO’s multi-year Strategic Plan by supporting and operationalizing the various workstreams involved. Before joining NEO, Hugo had a notable career in Public Health and Medical Academia, where they specialized in programmatic and strategic planning. Their work focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health, Harm Reduction strategies, and fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within intersectional public health programs.
In their spare time Hugo is an avid bike rider and novice surfer and loves spending time outdoors and traveling. Hugo is excited to be a part of the NEO team and helping to drive large scale systemic change.
