Kenny (they/he) is a community organizer from the DMV, currently based in Detroit. He holds a BA in Justice and Peace Studies from Georgetown University. As a student activist, Kenny campaigned for access to public transit and the preservation of affordable housing in DC’s Chinatown. Kenny has also organized with non-union workers throughout Florida, Virginia, DC, and New York. In 2019, Kenny began grassroots fundraising and mobilizing resources to curate community spaces for and by queer and trans youth of color.
Kenny comes to NEO from Allied Media Projects, where he stewarded relationships with 30+ fiscally sponsored projects cultivating media for liberation. He brings a critical understanding of inequity and a passion for experimental solutions, storytelling, and mutual aid to his advocacy. Outside of work, he enjoys food & culture, creative writing, and movement of all forms.
