Alicia brings to NEO Philanthropy 15+ years of combined experience in operations and business process improvement. She has a proven track record of developing positive organizational cultures, improving employee morale, establishing high-level strategies, coaching staff through thought-partnership, and fostering synergy in day-to-day operations. As an inclusive and supportive multi-disciplinary team leader, she possesses great versatility across broad-ranging functions serving as a conduit to effective interdepartmental relations. She has worked in the areas of education equity, economic security, health equity, and the responsible use of data. Prior to joining NEO Philanthropy, Alicia was the Chief Operating Officer at Define American, a narrative change and storytelling nonprofit.
Alicia is a graduate of Fisk University, with a dual major in Psychology and Sociology, and holds certifications in Agile Leadership and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She lives in Baltimore, MD with her two Bluetick Beagles, Sir Baxter and Sir Chadwick.
