Emily Ramírez brings to NEO years of experience as an organizer, trainer, and team leader in the immigrant rights movement. Her areas of focus have been leadership development and organizational capacity building, aimed at facilitating the empowerment of immigrants and people of color to drive structural change and expand access to power.

Previously, Emily worked as Chief of Staff for the National Partnership for New Americans, where she developed curriculum, led staff teams, and coordinated national campaigns with member and partner organizations to empower and protect immigrant communities through naturalization, DACA, family protection planning, and civic engagement. She also worked as a campaign organizer for comprehensive immigration reform and administrative relief for undocumented people with the Fair Immigration Reform Movement at the Center for Community Change. Emily received a B.A. in political science from the University of California, Berkeley.
