September 28, 2026 – The Four Freedoms Fund, a 20+ year collaborative fund based at NEO Philanthropy, announced Myrna Orozco as its next Executive Director. Orozco will assume the role this autumn, succeeding Rini Chakraborty, who has served as Executive Director for the past five years and has been an integral part of the Four Freedoms Fund for more than 14 years.
Orozco brings a wealth of experience on immigrant rights, civic engagement, philanthropy, and movement building. Her remarkable leadership journey began as an undocumented youth organizer, later becoming a key member of the Right to Dream Campaign with United We Dream, which led to the historic victory of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in 2012.
Throughout her career, Orozco has mobilized over $200 million for organizations working to build durable community-led power. In previous roles, at Movement Voter Project, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, and La Luz Philanthropy, she managed multi-state portfolios focused on civic engagement and immigrant justice.

With experience spanning democracy, civic engagement, and immigrant justice, Orozco is extremely well suited for taking the helm at Four Freedoms Fund at a distinctly challenging moment for immigrants and refugees.
Chakraborty will remain with the Four Freedoms Fund as a senior advisor through the end of the year to support a smooth transition. During her tenure, Chakraborty was instrumental in growing Four Freedoms Fund into one of the largest immigrant rights funders in the country – raising and deploying over $325 million since its founding. She established FFF as a trusted, responsive, and strategic philanthropic partner through investments in grassroots, immigrant-led organizations, particularly in emerging areas such as the Southeast and under-resourced communities, including Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ migrants.
