NEO Philanthropy is proud to announce nine new fiscally sponsored projects that champion hot-button issues now seizing the national discourse. From empowering women to mobilizing youth to fighting for racial equity, each project is moving social justice advocacy movements forward. The projects share NEO’s mission and values and find their nonprofit “home” when partnering with NEO. NEO fiscal sponsored groups receive a range of services that support their work and their movements.
Supporting Women
- Women’s March Network— The nonprofit entity, Women’s March Network, is a woman-led initiative supporting women of diverse backgrounds to create social change. With an immediate focus on nonpartisan voter registration, the organization has launched a national campaign in an effort to encourage civic participation for women of all backgrounds.
- Women Who Dare – Studies show that women of color are less likely to run high-revenue generating businesses. This new program assists women of color entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and build profitable, sustainable companies. Women Who Dare allows participants to take part in workshops, meet with mentors and participate in an online business program to strengthen their own business and increase odds of success.
Racial Equity
- D5 Compass – Strengthening philanthropy through diversity, equity and inclusion is D5 Compass’ goal. By focusing on strategies to engage CEOs and trustees, they are guiding organizations into an increasingly diverse future.
- Friends of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights – Friends of USCCR supports the need for greater civil rights monitoring and enforcement by ensuring that the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights can fulfill its mandate to serve as the nation’s conscience on civil rights.
- Movement Law Lab – This project brings lawyers together with other change-makers to implement bold solutions for some of American’s toughest racial justice problems. Its mission is to surface and accelerate breakthrough solutions that can shift the racial justice landscape.
- National Black Workers Center Project – The Center provides education about the impacts of low-wage work and unemployment in the Black community. By focusing on supporting and incubating Black worker centers, sharing the Black workers’ experience and organizing national convenings, National Black Workers Center Project is fighting to prevent racial discrimination in the work place.
Mobilizing Youth and Minorities
- National Guestworkers Alliance – Hundreds of thousands of workers enter the U.S. every year on temporary visas through the U.S. guestworker program. They work in critical industries, from landscaping to construction to education, in deeply exploitative conditions that frequently rise to the level of forced labor and involuntary servitude. The National Guestworker Alliance (NGA) is a membership organization of guestworkers working to win collective dignity at work through labor camps across the U.S.
- Open For Business – Open For Business is a coalition of global companies making the case that inclusive, diverse societies are better for business and better for economic growth. The purpose of the coalition is to advance LGBTQ inclusion globally, by promoting a positive economic and business case for equality of opportunity for everyone, all across the world.
- Youth Advocacy Corps – By providing learning and service opportunities, Youth Advocacy Corps is building cohorts of young social justice advocates and leaders. Founded upon the belief that the power to make change lies in the people living in communities most impacted, they focus on empowering youth, which supports their belief that the key to achieving greater equity of opportunity and outcomes in those communities.

Fiscal sponsorship at NEO gives groups a non-profit “home” and allows them to focus on their programmatic work while NEO manages the financial, HR and legal elements, giving the projects the room they need to make a significant impact on the world. NEO currently has some 70 fiscally sponsored and donor services organizations. NEO’s fiscally sponsored projects have access to an entire team of highly experienced professionals and an array of services that are tailored for their specific needs.
