Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Rahul comes to the Four Freedoms Fund at NEO Philanthropy after completing his B.A. in Economics and Sociology at the University of Michigan. Passionate about immigration justice and equitable access to legal advocacy, Rahul spent the year before joining NEO working as a legal research assistant for the Michigan Immigrant Rights Clinic, where he drafted asylum applications for unaccompanied minors seeking refuge in the United States. He has also previously worked as an international human rights fellow for legal firm Perseus Strategies and as a public defense intern for the Washtenaw County Office of the Public Defender. In his free time, Rahul likes to travel, try new foods, and listen to music.
